Our Course

Samoset Golf Course

A Maine legend, the Samoset Resort’s championship golf course winds through seaside woods and gardens while showcasing some of the most challenging holes in New England. Our 18-hole Maine golf course is well-suited for players of all skills levels with contoured greens, added bunkers, and an impressive seawall along with 14 holes that offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic.

Originally designed as a nine-hole course in 1902, the Samoset Golf Course celebrated its centennial year in 2002, and was also a qualifying event on the former Nike Tour. In 1974, the course was rebuilt as an 18-hole course by notable architect Robert Elder. In the early 1990s, Jeffrey Cornish improved many of the holes, including 10, 11, and 18.

In 2000, Bradley Booth played a key role in redesigning and rebuilding holes 4, 5, 14, and 18, and introducing the practice area. These noteworthy improvements solidified the Samoset’s reputation as the home of New England’s premier championship course.
