Rockport, ME (June 23, 2011) – Samoset Resort, one of New England’s premier resorts, announces the completion of numerous additions to the resort including of a full-service, seaside spa, an Italian restaurant and three new luxury guest cottages. These improvements are the result of a 2-million dollar investment by the resort owners, Ocean Properties, Ltd., in an effort to bring the guest experience to a new level. Freeport , November 14, 2010 …Cornelius, “Connie” Russell, General Manager of the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine, was named Innkeeper of the Year by the Maine Innkeeper’s Association (MEIA) at their 89th Annual Meeting & Conference held at the Cliff House Resort & Spa, on November 8, 2010. The prestigious award, presented annually to an active Innkeeper who has significantly contributed to the development of the Maine Innkeepers Association, was presented to Russell by Peter Daigle of Lafayette Hotels. 11.01.2010- The 15th Annual Wentworth Charities Golf Classic Raises $20,000 for Tanglewood, a University of Maine Cooperative Extension 4-H Camo and Learning Center
Rockport, ME- The 15th Annual Wentworth Charities Golf Classic Tournament, an annual event of Ocean Properties, LTD., has donated nearly $1,750,000 to charities since its inception in 1995. This month the Samoset Resort, a member of the Ocean Properties family and host of the event, donated $20,000 to Lincolnville based non-profit Tanglewood. Other beneficiaries included Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Jett Foundation.

10.28.2010- Samoset Resort Announces Major Renovation and Scores High Marks with the readers of Travel and Leisure Magazine.
Rockport, ME (October 28, 2010) – Samoset Resort, one of New England’s premier resorts, announced today that the property will undergo major renovations to be debuted in early 2011 which will include the addition of a full-service, seaside spa, an Italian restaurant and three new luxury guest cottages. These improvements are the result of a significant investment by Samorock LLC, an affiliate of Ocean Properties, Ltd., and will take place during the regularly scheduled seasonal closing, which commences on November 28, 2010. The Resort will continue to service the group market in March and April and the health club and timeshare facilities will remain open during the entire renovation process.
